Marketing and Communications Manager – B2B – Technology Job Romford – Essex £ 45000
Our client is an established, industry leading provider of Telecommunications solutions in the UK, now seeking to hire a Marketing & Communications Manager. Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a key strategic appointment as the company grows beyond £20m annual turnover.
Main purpose of the Role:
To present a strong and consistent public face of the company to all stakeholders
Key Tasks and Accountabilities
To direct the overall marketing strategy for the company, including development of the annual marketing plan in conjunction with the Managing Director and responsibility for managing the marketing budget
Ownership of the company brand; management, communication and promotion of this brand to both internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with the HR department, ensure the effective promotion of cultural values to the internal team. Liaison and management of the incumbent design agency.
Management of the company’s online presence including: ongoing updating the website and various Partner portals; SEO activities; LinkedIn and other relevant social media; including Facebook and YouTube.
Media relations – to own and manage the relationship between the company and key media, specifically Channel-related press, to ensure maximum positive publicity for the company.
Development of an annual media plan.
Ownership and management of key events, including the company’s flagship seminar series, industry events, webinars and other training events
Communications: completion of all company advertising, blogs, thought leadership articles, press releases, customer emails and any other public facing materials.
Product marketing: effective promotion of products through standard materials, campaigns and promotions. Active member of the products committee.
As a member of the Senior Management Team, to support the overall effective running of the company, providing support, insight, perspective and resource as required.
Provide marketing support for Partners, to act as a resource on which they can draw to advise on their marketing plans and campaigns.
To support the Account Directors in building strong relationships with key partners through marketing support.
All other marketing activities and support as required by the company
Lead generation via campaigns where applicable
Exceptional verbal and written skills
Self-motivated; able to lead the marketing function and promote it internally.
Awareness of telecommunications products and services
Good time-management skills; ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Takes pride in achieving best mutual outcome for partner and the company
Builds long-term relationships both internally and externally across different cultures
Knowledge and experience required:
Strong background in B2B communications environment.
A good understanding of channel, introducer or referral based selling principles.
Literate in IT, Web and Social Networking.
Academic & Professional Qualifications
CIM or similar preferable
